Unapologetically different.
We're a consulting firm. We know. Stay anyway.
We're the unordinary kind, the one you can't buy off the shelf. We take the problems you can't solve from the inside: the messy middles, the failing projects, the ones where the fix seems so simple but never quite lands. That's where we thrive. We solve for the system, not the symptom, where the stakes are real and fresh eyes are the only way through.
We lean into complexity instead of flattening it. Co-design is our craft: we find the root cause with the people who live it, and build the fix with them, since it is for them. And we keep human experience at the centre, because no change is immune to the system it lands in. It lives in and dies with people.
Our strategic design starts from how an organisation actually runs. We get clear on what you are really after, then hold the work to it, even when the path takes a few twists and turns. We work project by project, and we do not settle in. When we stop adding value, we will be on to the next adventure. Do not worry, you will always know where to find us.
The ways we help
Unordinary People
People zooms in, on the individuals in an organisation and the people who lead them. We are a sounding board for those in lonely-at-the-top roles, and we bring in the right experts to help them get a firm grip on what they are facing.
Unordinary Strategy
Strategy zooms out, taking in the whole system and every area of impact. We look at the organisation as a whole to understand its direction, and design for the problems you cannot easily solve from the inside.
Unordinary Good
Good sustains us. We operate on the principle of enough: enough work to keep us going, and a share of revenue reinvested into those without enough.
AI adoption
Real opportunity, and just as much risk. The value is in using AI to think differently, not to build faster horses. We find the genuine opportunities and put guardrails around them.
Good thinking shouldn't be a luxury
The best thinking is worth a lot, and it gets priced that way. That puts it out of reach of the people who need it most: the ones the system was never designed for, and the not-for-profits and charities working to even the odds for them. They are who we are here for. We do good work, make a fair living, and put the surplus behind the efforts trying to level the field.
What we are thinking about
Beyond the binary (no, not that one)
Doing nothing with AI is not low risk. It is high risk, dressed as caution.
No one cares about your change
You’ve done your stakeholder analysis, mapped your impacts, and built your comms plan.
Are you being served?
I was talking to someone recently about their AI-powered recruitment process. They were genuinely proud of it.
